Stuart and Nancy Rabinowitz Honors College Student Emergency Fund

The Rabinowitz Honors College’s Student Emergency Fund provides students with short-term needs the resources necessary during stressful moments.  Grants between $500 and $1500 dollars pay for books, supplies, and fees, but also food, diapers, rent, and medical expenses.

In any group of 1300+ students, including many who come from abroad, crises are to be expected.  Studies have shown that relatively small hurdles can seem like mountains when the resources simply are not available.  By giving to RHC’s Student Emergency Fund, you ensure that a student who might give up on college gets to stay and finish their degree.  100% of all donations to this fund are reserved for the direct financial support of students.

Thank you for your support!

Honors College enriches the education of exceptional students at Hofstra inside the classroom and beyond. We promote intellectual engagement, creativity, conversation, leadership, civic responsibility, and global reach.
